What is OnlineSafetyPAL?

OnlineSafetyPAL is the world's best product for recording every detail of computer and Internet activity on your computer at home, office or school. OnlineSafetyPAL contains five recording tools that are combined into one powerful application that features: Email recording, Chat and Instant Message recording, Website recording, Keystroke recording and VCR-like screenshot recording. All five tools record simultaneously, secretly saving the data to a hidden location on the PC. All this detail is viewable in a report format online or the reports can be downloaded from your OnlineSafetyPAL’s account to your computer.
 
In addition to monitoring and recording, OnlineSafetyPAL has an alert system that will inform you when a family PC being monitored has been used in an inappropriate manner e.g. use of keywords, phrases and actions like filling out online registration forms, auction bids, billing information containing home addresses and credit card information or anything else that you specify. OnlineSafetyPAL will be "on alert", notifying you immediately at the email address you specified or through a text message on your mobile phone (where available and your carrier may charge you for the message). Screens are captured by keywords, phrases and various actions taken on the web. How invisible is OnlineSafetyPAL?

OnlineSafetyPAL is built using state-of-the-art stealth technology. It is practically impossible to find OnlineSafetyPAL by most PC users. You can't find the OnlineSafetyPAL in the add/remove programs menu, start menu or the task bar. It is invisible in the Task Manager's Application menu. You can't even see it in the Task Manager's process list or search for the program. The only way to find and uninstall the monitoring is known to our members.

No, absolutely not! You may only install OnlineSafetyPAL on a computer that you own. Before you install the software, you must agree to use it only on a computer you own.

This link/button is available to you once you log in to your account. Please note that there is no refund for cancelled membership once the FREE 7-day trial period is over.

OnlineSafetyPAL uses several methods to ensure that your information is secure.
 
User Name and Password: Your user name (Login Email Address) is a unique identifier and only you have the access to it. You should use strong passwords and any password is secure as long as you don't share it with anyone. Following a simple common sense approach will prevent anyone to sign in to OnlineSafetyPAL as you.

 
SSL: OnlineSafetyPAL uses SSL (secure sockets layer) which ensures that your connection and information are secure from outside inspection.

 
Encryption: OnlineSafetyPAL uses 40-bit or 128-bit encryption (whichever your browser supports) to make your information unreadable as it passes over the Internet.

 
Automatic Sign Out: In addition, OnlineSafetyPAL automatically signs you out of a session if you are inactive for a predefined number of minutes (usually fifteen minutes). It is best if you sign out immediately after you are finished viewing reports and making any changes to your account settings.

I have a trial membership. Why does OnlineSafetyPAL require a credit card?

We require a valid credit card for every OnlineSafetyPAL signup. This is to verify account information and ensure your identity. We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard and Discover, as well as debit cards with Visa or MasterCard logos. We're unable to accept checks, money orders and purchase orders at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Your credit card will not be charged during your trial membership. Please note that we may validate your card by authorizing the membership fee at the time you sign up. No money leaves your account, but the authorization may show up on your statement for a short period of time before it lapses. Once you sign up for a full membership we will charge your account as per the billing information that you provide us with.

When will Gift Membership take effect? The day I purchase it or the day the recipient uses it?

The Gift Membership will take effect the day that it's redeemed by the recipient. Please note that the Gift Memberships that are not activated within one (1) year after date of issue will, without further notice, lapse on the day following the anniversary date of issue of the Gift Membership.
  
 
Do I need to activate my Gift Membership within a year?

Yes, if you were not a member of OnlineSafetyPAL when you received your gift membership then you must activate your Gift Membership within one (1) year after date of issue. Gift Memberships that are not activated within one (1) year after date of issue will, without further notice, lapse on the day following the anniversary date of issue of the Gift Membership.
If you were already a member of OnlineSafetyPAL when you received the Gift Membership then your Gift Membership will automatically start on the day after your current membership expires.
  
 
What happens when my Gift Membership period ends?

Before the end of your paid Gift Membership period, you’ll be reminded to roll over to a full membership. We hope that you continue your membership and not let it lapse as you would have to go through the entire registration process and lose your recorded data and personal settings and preferences on the OnlineSafetyPAL server.
  
 
Can I redeem a Gift Membership on my existing account?

Yes, Gift Memberships can be redeemed on existing accounts. You should redeem your Gift Membership after your current membership expires. Please contact us if you have any further questions regarding this matter.

How much storage space do you allow OnlineSafetyPAL members to have in their account?

We recommend that you delete or download your reports from your account after viewing them, in order to stay within the disk quota of 5 MB per computer. You can check your storage space and delete/download reports to make room.

In order to optimize the 5 MB of storage space allowed we recommend that you choose low frequency of recording data (say every 5 minutes as opposed to every 30 seconds) and to save your screenshots in low resolution, (as opposed to saving in high resolution). You should also either download or delete older data periodically to keep enough room for the new data to be uploaded from your family PC. Based on the aforementioned factors and on how heavily your PC is used you can greatly reduce the storage constraint for your OnlineSafetyPAL account.

A typical 8-hour day of recording will consume approximately 8 to 10 MB of storage space in your OnlineSafetyPAL account. Please note that this is only an estimate and your storage usage may differ based on your  settings and preferences.

How do I update my personal account settings?

Please log in to your OnlineSafetyPAL account and go to My Account. You can update your account settings, including your login email, password, notification email and mobile number.
  
 
How do I change the email address I use for signing in to my OnlineSafetyPAL account?

Please log in to your OnlineSafetyPAL account and click on  "Change Login Email" to follow simple instructions to change your login email address.  You must have access to your current login email address as a verification email with an activation link is sent to it before the new login email address is activated. 
  
 
I forgot my password, what do I do?

We'll be happy to remind you of your password at any time.

   1. Please go to the Login area of the OnlineSafetyPAL,
   2. Enter your Email address in the "Forgot Password?" form    3. Click "Submit".

We will send your password in plain text via email.
 
Remember: Your own email address is the key to your OnlineSafetyPAL account - it is unique to you.

I want to change my password, what do I do?

You can change your password at any time after you sign in.
   1. After you Sign in.
   2. Click "My Password".
   3. Enter your current password in the "Current Password" field.
   4. Enter your new password in the "New Password" field.
   5. To confirm, enter your new password again in the "Re-type New Password" field.
   6. When you are done, click "SUBMIT". If you change your mind, click "CANCEL".
